PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recorder hardly causing the problem such as an ink leakage and poor delivery even if the recorder equipped with a valve mechanism changing the communication state of an ink feeding passage making a recording head and an ink tank communicated is arranged in the state of inclination. SOLUTION: The ink feeding passage making the recording head and the ink tank communicated is composed with including a first liquid way 5c and a second liquid way 5d, and the passage is provided with a cut-off valve 10. The cut-off valve 10 makes the passage opened and closed by moving a diaphragm 10a upward and downward with a lever 11, and the lever 11 is composed of a horizontal member 11a and a perpendicular member 11b. The perpendicular member 11b is retained with a second rotary shaft 12 in freely pivoting, and the lower part side of the member 11b is always kept downward in the perpendicular direction.
