PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for generating circuits and synthetic circuits for on-screen signals corresponding to each video system even when a video camera device has image-sensing circuits corresponding to a plurality of kinds of the video systems, and to enable on-screen displays to a monitor section by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A video camera device has: an image sensor 12 sensing an image by the video system selected from a plurality of kinds of the video systems; an OSD generator 17 generating an on-screen signal OS; and a monitor 15 displaying both a video signal VD obtained by an image sensing by the image sensor 12 and the on-screen signal OS generated from the OSD generating section 17. In the video camera device, the monitor 15 has: an LCD panel 15a displaying the video signal VD by a display system based on the selected video system; and an organic EL panel 15b having an optical transmission properties for displaying the on-screen signal OS.
