PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for editing a website, a system for editing a website and a program for editing a website that can realize both efficiency and safety of an edit of a subsite. SOLUTION: The editing method for editing a website by means of a plurality of editing environments including at least first and second editing environments, the website being composed of a plurality of webpages and stored in the first editing environment, has in the first editing environment a specification step of accepting a user's specification of part of the plurality of webpages as a subsite, and a generation step of generating editing files including unique files corresponding to webpages included in the subsite and common files usable for an edit of the subsite.
