The invention relates to a device for foaming and/or prefoaming plastic granulates, comprising a foaming container (1) with a steam inlet opening (5) in the wall thereof, provided with an inlet opening (13) for the plastic granulate and an outlet opening (15) for the foamed plastic for continuous operation and in which a central agitator (8) is placed. The foam container (1) has a troughed cross-sectional embodiment with the longitudinal axis thereof arranged parallel to a chassis (2) of a vehicle on which the above is arranged, whereby the steam inlet opening (5) is let into a region of the outer surface (4) facing the chassis (2). |
