PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alignment device for aligning simply with a small amount of calculation with respect to a typical document.

SOLUTION: This alignment device comprises an image rotating means for erecting an input image and holding a rotary angle of an image rotating processing to be performed for the input image, and a misregistration correcting means for calculating a misregistration of an image associated with the rotary angle or information of an input device to correct based on this misregistration.
