MUTICAST RECEIVING METHOD

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten interruption time of multicast packet reception when a mobile host participating in multicast group has moved to a destination network, and to reduce extra consumption of band due to packet transfer for indirect reception.

SOLUTION: When a mobile host 101-1 receiving a multicast packet has moved to a destination network A, a home agent 100 intercepts a multicast packet delivered on a home network and transfers it to a mobile host 101-2 through a tunnel 209. When the mobile host 101-2 participates in multicast group on the destination network and can receive a multicast packet directly, the mobile host 101-2 issues a multicast transfer stop request 215 and stops transfer from the home agent 100.
