<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grounding place determination device in rolling over capable of appropriately operating an occupant protection device corresponding to a grounding place of the vehicle body upper part in rolling over. <P>SOLUTION: Deformation of the initial grounding place of a roof in rolling over is detected by a deformation detection means 20, the grounding place of the roof R is determined by an output signal of the deformation detection means 20, and the occupant protection devices 1A, 1B appropriately corresponding to the grounding place in rolling over can be operated by operating a specified occupant protection devices 1A, 1B with a protection device operation means 30 according to the deformation place.
