<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it is necessary to form three kinds of test patterns, that means, not only a test pattern formed only with thick toner and a test pattern formed only with thin toner but also a test pattern formed with both the thick toner and the thin toner in the conventional correction control. <P>SOLUTION: By supplying first pattern data to an image forming means, a first pattern is formed on a recording medium by using dark color material and light color material having the same hue, and its density is detected. When the variation of the detected density of the first pattern is equal to or above a prescribed value, an image forming condition by the use of the dark color material and the light color material having the same hue in the image forming means is corrected based on the density of the first pattern and the density of the first pattern data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
