<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing device and method in which termination processing can be carried out efficiently in safety upon occurrence of abnormality in a test object, i.e. a power converter. <P>SOLUTION: A test controller 300 collects test data outputted from a test object, i.e. a power converter 20, during the operation of a control power supply 400. Occurrence of abnormality in the power converter 20 at the time of test is detected by the test controller 300 based on an abnormality detection signal outputted from an ECU 200. When abnormality is detected in the test of the power converter 20, the test controller 300 opens main relays 12 and 14 to interrupt power supply from a main power supply 10 to the power converter 20 immediately, and interrupts a control power supply 400 upon elapsing a predetermined time after interrupting power supply from the main power supply. Consequently, data collection from the power converter 20 and formation of the discharge path of a smoothing capacitor 116 from the test controller 300 through conduction of a discharge relay 352 are enabled for a predetermined time even after the interruption of the main power supply. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
