<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a person to be authenticated, when the person to be authenticated positions an eye, by intelligibly indicating the person to be authenticated a moving direction to a predetermined position. <P>SOLUTION: This ocular image photographing apparatus 50 is provided with a photograph part 20 having a lens part 21, an imaging element 22, and a preprocessing part 23; an image signal processing part 30 having a pupil detecting part 31, a determination part 32, and an authentication image acquisition part 33; an illumination part 60 having an illumination LED 62 and an illumination control part 61; an iris authentication part 40; and a guiding part 10 having a guiding mirror 13 and a guiding LED 12. The guiding LED 12 is constituted of a plurality of LEDs having directional characteristics respectively, and their respective optical axes are disposed to cross with the optical axis of the photograph part 20, so that it is hard to see a light emitted from the light sources from places other than a predetermined direction respectively, and the light emitted thereby has an illumination pattern shape indicating the direction in the predetermined position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
