<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device automatically rotated by quick operation and rotated at low speed to a maximum open position and locked to rotate at the maximum open position. <P>SOLUTION: In this hinge device, when a first member 1 is rotated so as to be openable relative to a second member 2 by a rotatingly energizing mechanism 4 by releasing a closing holding mechanism 3 from the overlappingly closed state of the first member 1 and the second member 2, the hinge device is rotated at low speed by the damping of the energizing force of the rotating energizing mechanism 4 by an increase in opening angle, rotating resistance by a friction surface 12, or a change in gravity applied to the first member 1 until at least the first member 1 or the second member 2 are brought into the maximum open state from the raised state from the second member 2 or the first member 1.
