<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection management method for a communication terminal, a router apparatus, a communication terminal, and a connection management system whereby when the router apparatus receives a packet addressed to a communication terminal with which the router cannot communicate, the router apparatus can immediately return an arrival error message to a sender. <P>SOLUTION: In an IP network, a communication terminal connected to a link informs the router apparatus about its own communication state, when the router apparatus receives a notice denoting that the communication terminal is in a communication disabled state, the router apparatus shifts nearby cache entries around the communication terminal to a communication disabled state, and thereafter when the router apparatus receives a packet addressed to the communication terminal, the router apparatus immediately transmits the arrival error message to a packet sender. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
