ARTIFICIAL SHOULDER JOINT

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial shoulder joint exhibiting a smooth joint function especially in adduction movement of the humerus and capable of preserving soft part tissue of the shoulder joint in substitution.

SOLUTION: This artificial shoulder joint is provided with an approximately spherical head corresponding to the bone head of an organism at the tip of a stem to be inserted into the humerus; and is characterized in that the lower end side of the spherical shape of the head is extended further than the bone head and the spreading angle of the spherical face from the center of the spherical body to a line formed by connecting the upper end to the lower end of the head is suppressed within 180°.
