PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processing method for shading correction with color analogue image signals, capable of quickly appropriately acquiring shading corrected data. SOLUTION: With a light source turned off, the lowest output level is detected with a plurality of analogue image signal levels outputted by image sensors 19 of each color component. Shift is made so that the lowest value of input range of an analogue/digital converter 21 matches the lowest output level detected. Then, with the light source turned on, the highest output level is detected from among a plurality of analog signal levels outputted by an image sensor 19a of each color component, after reading a white reference board. Based on the detected lowest output level, highest output level, input range after shifting, and the resolution of the analog/digital converter; the input range of analog/digital converter 21 is set by a specified operational expression and shading correction data acquired.
