PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope stage in which respective final controlling elements are consolidated to one handle or are arranged in proximity to each other to improve operability while manual control of rotation of a rotary holder with the handle under the stage is made. SOLUTION: The microscope stage is equipped with: a lower stage 403; a central stage 402 supported linearly movably in a Y direction with respect to the lower stage 403; an upper stage 401 supported linearly movably in an X direction with respect to the central stage 402; a freely rotatable rotary holder 1601 placed on the part upper than the upper stage 401; and an inner and outer biaxial X-Y movement control handle 406 for moving the upper stage 401 and the central stage 402 respectively in X- and Y-directions, in which the X-Y movement control handle 406 is provided with rotary holder control means for performing rotation control of coarse movement and fine movement of the rotary holder 1601.
