LIGHT EMITTING DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DRIVING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate luminance unevenness of light emitted by each organic EL element.

SOLUTION: In the respective organic EL elements E11 to Enm, the light emitting luminance (light emitting efficiency) with respect to an input specified unit quantity of electricity is lowered with an increase in electric resistance value. A display panel 20 is formed by arraying pixels comprised of the organic EL elements E11 to Enm. The unit quantity of electricity corresponding to image data are input to the organic EL elements E11 to Enm and the elements E11 to Wnm emit light. A measuring circuit 14 detects the organic EL elements of the relatively high electric resistance value among the respective pixels. A light emission control circuit 16 relatively increases the unit quantity of electricity to be input for the organic EL elements having relatively high electric resistance value.
