<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a musical tone controller unit which creates new pleasure to familiarize a user with music. <P>SOLUTION: A chord is selected according to the position of a mouse pointer moving on a display screen of a display element 3 and when an A button is operated to turn on at this time, the selected chord is produced and the sound volume and sound image are controlled according to the positions (point X, point Y) of the mouse pointer during the sound production. When the A button is operated to turn off, the chord under the sound production is silenced. Simultaneously with such musical tone generation form, the object image corresponding to the pointing positions of the mouse pointer are drawn. If the pointing position is kept maintained, the drawing position changes randomly with lapse of time and movement is given to the image.
