<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device capable of realizing the prevention of incomplete insertion of a screw and dropping off of the screw without increasing the number of parts and realizing weight and cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: In the steering lock device 1, a cylinder lock, a rotator 7 connected to it and a lock member 9 changed between a lock position for locking a steering shaft by rotation of the rotator 7 and a lock release position for permitting rotation of the steering shaft are stored in a part storage chamber 2a in a casing body 2. A safe plate 31 arranged in the part storage chamber 2a is fixed by a screw 33 and retains an emergency lock means 34 to a lock release position. When retaining of the emergency lock means 34 by the safe plate 31 is released, the emergency lock means 34 locks the lock member 9 to a lock position. A screw pressing part 38 for pressing a head part of the screw 33 is integrally provided on a spacer 32 stored in the part storage chamber 2a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
