PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rattles of a rotating sleeve in an axial longitudinal direction by reaction of an auxiliary steering force added to a rotating shaft without a need for designing a large-diameter housing. SOLUTION: This device includes the rotating shaft 4 moving in the axial longitudinal direction in response to steering operation, a rotating sleeve 9 rotatably disposed around the outside of a spiral groove 4b of a spiral groove 4, interlockingly jointed to an output shaft 6a of an electric motor 6, rolling bearings 10 which rotatably support the rotating sleeve 9 in the housing 5, a power conversion mechanism A which converts the rotational force of the rotating sleeve 9 into the moving force in the axial longitudinal direction of the rotating shaft 4 to transfer it to the rotating shaft 4. A first and a second screw loops 15, 16 are provided which sandwiches an external ring 10a of the rolling bearing 10 from both sides to be retained are provided, screw holes 5g into which the first and second screw loops 15, 16 are screwed are provided at the housing 5, and the reaction of the auxiliary steering force added to the rolling bearing 10 from the rotating sleeve 9 is received by the first and second screw loops 15, 16.
