PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite container lid cleaning system which cleans a composite cap having such a structure providing superior cleanability that a gap extends from a gap between a cap body and an inner stopper through a gap between a container mouth-to-neck part and a cap skirt interior to a cap lower end, effectively cleans foreign matters or the like accumlating on the junction between the inner stopper and the cap body, the junction being fit to the structure, without slowing down a process speed at a filling/sealing line, and does not make a great change or enlargement of a conventional facilities. SOLUTION: The container mouth cleaning system operates on a filling/capping line for a container 5 using a composite lid composed of an outer peripheral shell 1 and a top face panel. The system includes a mechanism which brings an annular seal member 7 in pressure contact with the outer peripheral shell 1 from above, and a mechanism which supplies pressurized cleaning water and press air into an area encircled with the annular seal member 7. The system cleans up a part between the mouth-to-neck part of the container 5 and the interior of a lid skirt interior instantly on the filling/capping line. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
