PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) characteristics and S/H characteristics of a D-A converter which outputs electric charge accumulated in a capacitor from an output terminal according to an inputted digital signal by making a settling error constant without depending upon input digital data. SOLUTION: The D-A converter is equipped with a plurality of switches that previously charge a plurality of capacitors to designated voltage, the discharge electric charge of a capacitor selected out of the plurality of capacitors according to the inputted digital signal is discharged to an output terminal, and discharge electric charge accumulated in the other capacitor is not discharged to the output terminal.
