PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an accurate light transmittance easily without having to perform correction calculations, even for a high numerical aperture lens. SOLUTION: In a measurement section 4, a lens to be measured 11 and a reference lens 12 are placed so that they face each other and share an optical axis X of a collimator lens 2 as a common optical axis. The spacing between both the lenses 11, 12 is set nearly equal to the sum of the focal length of each lens 11, 12. The lens to be measured 11 is placed in an attitude which is actually used. These two lenses 11, 12 are nearly the same in shape, are made of the same glass material, and are placed so that their smaller-curvature surfaces face each other. While the lens to be measured 11 is generally covered with an antireflection coating, the reference lens 12 is in a state of non-coating. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
