PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front fork for a motorcycle or the like, having a structure capable of promptly performing work for oiling inside of the front fork. SOLUTION: In the inverted type front fork 3 for the motorcycle or the like, a stopper plate 74 in which a through hole 74b is formed on the center part is fitted into the inner periphery of an upper end part of an inner tube 11, and a rod 69 mounted to an outer tube 10 is inserted into inside of the inner tube 11 via the through hole 74b of the stopper plate 74. A spring sheet 71 supporting an upper end part of a suspension spring 5 is provided in a tip part of the rod 69. A rebound spring 75 is interposed between the spring sheet 71 and the stopper plate 74. A plurality of communicating holes 74c communicating upper and lower air chambers R2a, R2b with each other are formed on the outer peripheral part of the stopper plate 74, and a flow passage 70 communicating the upper and lower air chambers R2a, R2b of the stopper plate 74 with each other is formed inside the rod 69.
