PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocker arm integratedly made of sheet metals, which rocker arm can improve the strength of an engaging portion to collide with the base end portion of a valve body by sufficiently increasing the thickness of the portion to be a connecting portion for forming the engaging portion. SOLUTION: The portion to be the connecting portion is a thick-walled portion 22 formed by pressing a projecting portion formed on the edge of one end of a main portion composing an element sheet toward the plane of the main portion. Because the thickness of the thick-walled portion 22 can be increased up to approximately two times as thick as its original thickness, the above-mentioned problem can be solved.
