PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a civil engineering structure such as a mountain control-sand control dam and a retaining wall, by placing concrete on its inside, by forming a log material harmonizing with a natural scenery as a wall surface of a structure also serving as a form. SOLUTION: C shape steel columns are supported by a bottom surface material and a support material fixed to the foundation ground by an anchor material, and are erected in a plurality at a specific interval, and the log material having a through-hole arranged in a position at the same interval as arrangement of the C shape steel columns, is substantially horizontally stacked in front of the C shape steel columns. An L-shaped log installing member is inserted into the through-hole of the log material, and a bending part is embraced to the C shape steel columns, and the form is formed by stacking a plurality of log materials up to the specific height by repeating work for fixing the log materials by installing a fastener to a tip part of the log installing member.
