PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a verge finishing structure of a transversely roofed roof, which allows the operator to visually observe that an end face of an end of a transversely roofed cladding material is located on a gutter-shaped portion, is small in parts count, simple in shape, and uses only a small amount of materials. SOLUTION: The verge finishing structure at the ridge directional end of the roof on which the transverse cladding materials are laid, is formed of a drip member 3 and a facing member 5. The drip member 3 has a fixed portion 3a which is located on a rear surface of the ridge directional end 4a of the transverse cladding material 4 and fixed to a substrate 1, and an extended portion 3c hanging from the fixed portion 3a to below a lateral edge of the substrate 1. The facing member 5 has a first facing portion 5a covering a front surface of the end 4a, and a second facing portion 5b covering a side of the end 4a. By engaging an engaged portion 3f of the extended portion 3c with an engaging portion 5c of the facing member 5, the drip member 3 is combined with the facing member 5 in one body. Further a surface of the end 4a on the fixed portion 3a is covered with the first facing portion 5a, and the extended portion 3c and the second facing portion 5b cooperatively form the gutter-shaped portion 6, followed by locating the end face 4b of the end 4a on the gutter-shaped portion 6.
