PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid marker which has a separating agent uniformly dispersed therein, which has stable writing property and erasability even if the solid substance decreases by the use, which does not cause the separating agent to bleed even if allowed to stand for a long period of time, and which, accordingly, particularly excels in the writing property and erasability even if left standing for a long period of time after its manufacture, and to provide a manufacturing method of such solid marker. SOLUTION: The solid marker comprises water, a colorant, a solidifying agent consisting of a fatty acid alkali metal salt, an O/W type emulsion that is an oily substance difficult to volatile at an ordinary temperature, and preferably a silicone oil. Such a solid marker is preferably obtained by mixing a water dispersion of a pigment which is formed by dispersing the pigment in water using a dispersant consisting of a resin, the solidifying agent consisting of a fatty acid alkali metal salt, the O/W type emulsion that is an oil substance difficult to volatile at an ordinary temperature (and the silicone oil) in water under heating, dissolving the fatty acid alkali metal salt in water, then pouring into a molding container, and conducting cooling and solidification.
