PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron powder stain remover having good removing effects on iron powder stains such as iron rust and simply rinsed off with tap water without drying in a state of the included stains and without a risk of new rust or discoloring even when iron powder stains on the surface of vehicles, etc. under a hot condition or the like. SOLUTION: The iron powder stain remover is characterized as comprising a thiocarboxylic acid or a thiocarboxylate, saccharides and/or derivatives other than dehydrated derivatives of the saccharides and water. The saccharides and/or derivatives other than the dehydrated derivatives of the saccharides are preferably a reduced derivative of the saccharides, especially a sugar alcohol.
