PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing an optically active serine derivative. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the optically active (2R, 3R)-3-substituted-D-serine derivative comprises ring-opening an oxazole compound using an organic acid to convert it into aβ-keto-amino acid derivative organic acid salt, subjecting it to salt exchange using an inorganic salt to obtain aβ-keto-amino acid derivative inorganic acid salt, and asymmetrically reducing theβ-keto-amino acid derivative inorganic acid salt using an asymmetric catalyst.
