FOOD AND FOOD ADDITIVES COMPRISING COMBINATION OF ACANTHOPANACIS CORTEX AND FOLIUM EXTRACT FOR THE PREVENTION AND ALLEVIATION OF BONE DISEASE

A food and a food additive are provided to prevent and treat the disease related to bone such as osteoporosis, etc. by using an extract obtained from Cotex Acanthopanacis. A food and a food additive contain a mixture of an extract obtained from the leaves of Cotex Acanthopanacis and an extract obtained from the bark of Cotex Acanthopanacis. Preferably the extract is prepared by pulverizing leaves or bark of Cotex Acanthopanacis; extracting the pulverized one by using at least one solvent selected from water and a C1-C4 alcohol such as methanol, ethanol, butanol, etc.; filtering the extracted one; concentrating the filtered one; and drying the concentrated one.
