A plasma display panel is provided to prevent the radiation of discharge beams to outside by implementing a beam protecting film on a space formed by a dual barrier rib. A plasma display panel includes front and rear substrates(100,200), a barrier rib(204a), discharge electrodes, and a phosphor layer. The front and rear substrates are disposed to form discharge spaces therebetween. The barrier rib disposed between the front and rear substrates includes a vertical dual barrier rib and a horizontal single barrier rib in order to define discharge cells with the front and rear substrates. The discharge electrodes generate discharge in the discharge cells. The phosphor layer is coated in the discharge cells. A thickness of the horizontal single barrier rib is greater than that of the vertical dual barrier rib.
