<p>A handover method between heterogeneous networks and a device therefor are provided to support handover between the heterogeneous networks without changing existing network, therefore a provider can initiate handover services between the heterogeneous networks in a short time at low cost. A handover initiate message is received from a mobile terminal communicating with the first communication network(401-407). An MIP(Mobile Internet Protocol) binding update process is performed with an HA(Handover Agent) of the first communication network(409). The mobile terminal carries out an MIP binding update process with the second communication network which performs handover(411-415). Data received through the HA of the first communication network is transmitted to the mobile terminal through the second communication network(417).</p> |
