A compression type air cleaner is provided to clean air in the room by purifying outdoor air and supplying the purified air into a room, always maintain indoor in a clean state by naturally exhausting harmful air in the room to the outside of the room, and improve air cleaning efficiency by purifying harmful air of the outside and supplying the purified air into the room. A compression type air cleaner comprises: a body(10) which has an inlet(11) connected to the outside of a room and an outlet(12) connected to the inside of the room, of which an inner part is sealed except the inlet and outlet; an air compressor(30) embedded in the body to exhaust the air in a compressed state by sucking air flown in from the inlet; and multistage filters which is connected to the air compressor, and through which the compressed air passes to purify the compressed air and supply the purified air into the room via the outlet. The air compressor includes a crank rotated by a motor, and a piston connected to the crank by a piston rod and reciprocated in a cylinder block. The filters include a pre-carbon filter part(40) having a pre-carbon filter(40a), a micro-filter part(50) having a micro-filter(50a), a HEPA filter part(70) having a HEPA filter(70a), and a sterilizing part(60) having an ultraviolet lamp(60a) installed between the micro-filter part and the HEPA filter part. The compression type air cleaner further comprises a water treater(20) in which a filtering mesh(21) is embedded, wherein the filtering mesh is connected to the inlet of the body by an introduction pipe(22).
