A connector in which the impedances of terminals are securely changed when a movable housing is moved in any direction relative to a fixed housing. The connector comprises movable parts (22) formed between one end side and the other end side of each of terminals (20) and elastically deformable in the lateral, longitudinal, and vertical directions of the housings (11, 12) and a cap (30) detachably mounted on the movable housing (11) so as to be in proximity to the movable parts (22) of the terminals (20) and varying the impedances of the terminals (20). Since the movable housing (11) can be securely moved in any direction relative to the fixed housing (12) and the impedances of the terminals (20) can be arbitrarily varied, a connector does not need to be fabricated according to the impedances of a mating connector (100). Consequently, the connector can provide such an advantage that its manufacturing cost is not increased.
