A receptacle terminal is provided to enhance an operation reliability of a connector using a receptacle terminal by increasing a contact area of a tap terminal and the receptacle terminal to increase the contact quality therebetween. A body part(20) is made of a conductive metal material. A barrel part(22) is provided at one end of the body part and connected with a wire. A coupling part(24) is provided at the other end of the body part, has an open front end in a cylindrical shape to allow a counterpart terminal to be inserted thereinto, and includes pressed arches(26) formed on mutually corresponding inner surfaces in a facing manner. A coupling slider is installed to be movable by the counterpart terminal within the coupling part. A portion of the coupling slider is press-fit between the pressed arches of the coupling part and the counterpart terminal. A stopper(28) is formed at a rear end of the coupling part to regulate a degree that the coupling slider is pushed by the counterpart terminal.
