APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING MULTIPLE ACKNOWLEDGMENTS IN SINGLE CARRIER FDMA SYSTEMS

An apparatus and a method for transmitting multiple acknowledgement signals in a single carrier FDMA(Frequency Division Multiple Access) system are provided to efficiently transmitting an acknowledgement message by providing data and an acknowledgement channel message. A method for transmitting multiple acknowledgement signals in a single carrier FDMA(Frequency Division Multiple Access) system includes the steps of: setting a mapping configuration between a plurality acknowledgement channel resource sets having at least one acknowledgement channel resource and a plurality of control channel component sets having at least one control channel component; transmitting a data packet to a first node through a second node based on a schedule acknowledgement transmitted through the control channel component set selected from the control channel component sets; and transmitting the acknowledgement channel message based on at least one acknowledgement channel resource selected from the acknowledgement channel resource set corresponding to the control channel component set used for transmitting the scheduling acknowledgement. The acknowledgement message is one of a positive acknowledgement message and a negative acknowledgement message.
