A tip switch assembly of a shift lever is provided to employ a groove surface in contact with a detent pin coupled to a shift lever to reciprocate and allow the detent pin to be pressed through the inclination of the groove surface if the position of the shift lever is changed. A tip switch assembly of a shift lever(100) includes a housing(10), a groove surface(20), a mode change detector(30), and a transmission detector(40). The groove surface is provided in the housing. The mode change detector is formed through one side of the housing to make contact with the shift lever. The groove surface is provided at outer surface of the housing. The housing includes a first housing space(11) receiving the mode change detector and a second housing space(12) receiving the transmission detector. The housing is provided at a side of an automatic transmission assembly of a vehicle while facing a shift lever of the automatic transmission assembly.
