<p>A method and an apparatus for creating a PDU(Protocol Data Unit) in a consideration of a channel state of a portable internet system are provided to perform data packing flexibly according to channel environments, thereby improving the transmission efficiency of data packets. A channel state vale of a portable internet system is measured(S610). The measured channel state value is compared with a predetermined threshold value(S620). If the channel state value, for example, a CINR(Carrier-to-Interference and Noise Ratio) value, is less than the threshold value, an SDU(Service Data Unit)-packing function is enabled(S630). If the channel state value is more than the threshold value, the SDU-packing function is disabled(S640). If the SDU-packing function is enabled, an SDU-packing process is performed to create a PDU. If the SDU-packing function is disabled, the PDU is created without performing the SDU-packing process.</p> |
