The foot rest has a base frame (1) carrying arms (2) that are moved towards top using a support frame (3). The arms are connected together with a crosspiece (6) that supports a pivoting plate (5). The frame (3) has two lateral bars (12) carrying guides that slide in slits. The arms have lower parts in which pivots two lower ends of a small frame (4) that activate the plate. The frame (4) has lateral bars (16) with a handle (18) in a median part and a horizontal projecting dowel in an upper end, where the dowel sliding in a large groove (20) situated on a guiding rail (21).
