CONTROLLING METHOD FOR AIR CONDITIONER

A controlling method for an air conditioner is provided to reduce difference of discharge temperatures measured at compressors of a plurality of outdoor units by opening and closing a flow control unit with a solenoid valve. A controlling method for an air conditioner includes the steps of: detecting difference of discharge temperatures of respective compressors(111) of a number of outdoor units(101,102,103); if the difference between a maximum value and a minimum value in the discharge temperature exceeds a predetermined temperature, opening a flow control unit to let refrigerant run through a bypass pipe; if the difference between the maximum value and the minimum value in the discharge temperature is under a predetermined temperature, closing the flow control unit to flow the refrigerant. The flow control unit is opened and shut off by a solenoid valve or an LEV(Linear Expansion Valve)(116).
