A composition comprising ginsenoside Ro is provided to be safely used to skin without side effects, thereby being usefully used as a cosmetic product, a medicine or a food for anti-oxidation, anti-obesity, preventing hair loss, hair growth or tanning. A composition for anti-oxidizing, anti-obese, hair growth, preventing hair loss or tanning comprises 0.0001-10 wt.% of ginsenoside Ro as an effective ingredient. The composition is a cosmetic composition such as solution, suspension, emulsion, paste, gel, cream, lotion, soap, surfactant-containing cleansing, oil, powder foundation, emulsion foundation, wax foundation and spray or a pharmaceutical composition. Further, the pharmaceutical composition is in a percutaneous form.
