A battery locking device in a portable terminal is provided to realize a slim portable terminal by joining a battery pack with a portable terminal as both ends of a battery locker part engage with the battery pack while the battery locker part rotates in a state that the battery pack is installed in a battery mounting part. A battery locking device in a portable terminal(100) having a battery pack(106) comprises a battery mounting part(151) and a battery locker part(153). The battery mounting part, formed at the portable terminal, accommodates the battery pack. The battery locker part is rotatively installed at the battery mounting part. As both ends of the battery locker part engage with the battery pack while the battery locker part rotates in a state that the battery pack is installed in the battery mounting part, the battery pack is joined with the portable terminal.
