The bat has a plate constituting a main striking surface (1) provided with an edge (2) for smashing a ball, where an assembly of the plate and edge is fixed at an end of a handle (3) that is perpendicular to the plate. The edge does not cover the handle, and is free from obstacles to grip and movements of wrist of a player. The edge is larger at the front than at the rear, and the front part of the edge is curved to adopt the shape of the ball. The surface is made of flexible membrane such as sieve, where a part of the bat is coated with a gripping material.
