Ultrasound diagnostic system and method for displaying a Doppler spectrum image are provided to display the Doppler spectrum image by performing decimation and interpolation of some of Doppler spectrum data according to a sweep speed selected by a user. In an ultrasound diagnostic system, an interval setting unit(310) sets a fixed interval to calculate a spectral Doppler component from ultrasound data obtained by transceiving ultrasound signals with an object. A data obtaining unit(320) obtains Doppler spectrum data by calculating the spectral Doppler component from the ultrasound data at fixed intervals. A storage unit(330) stores the Doppler spectrum data. A user input unit(340) receives sweep speed information from a user. A data control unit(350) controls the Doppler spectrum data by comparing the fixed interval with the sweep speed. A display unit(360) displays a Doppler spectrum image based on the controlled Doppler spectrum data.
