The additional pressure force is exerted on the oscillating elastic membrane (20) to make the membrane axially slide along the movable core in a direction of the fixed core to obtain the air-gap having a desired value (Y) when the two cores are arranged one against the other and before the initial compressive force is released. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Method for regulating a dimension of an air-gap, defined between a fixed core and a movable core of an electromagnet of an electromechanical alarm horn in an engine compartment for a motor vehicle, to a desired value. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method regulates the dimension of the air-gap defined between the fixed core and the movable core of the electromagnet of the electromechanical alarm to the desired value for the motor vehicle in simple, reliable and inexpensive manner.
