A remote controller for preventing an electrolyte leakage of a battery is provided to prevent an electrolyte leakage of the battery to thus prevent contamination when the battery is kept in storage without being used for a long time period. It is checked whether a type of a battery in use has been changed. If the type of the battery has been changed, a dummy signal output period change button is manipulated to select a proper dummy signal output period. A timer switch counts a lapse time starting from time at which a final control signal is output. If the dummy signal output period has elapsed in a state that there is no output of a control signal by an intentional manipulation by a user, the timer switch outputs a dummy signal once or for a certain time period so that a slight amount of power of the battery can be consumed. |
