The device has a control panel (1) e.g. flight control unit (FCU) control panel, with front surface (20) that comprises information inputting units constituted of a key and/or push button (10) and a rotary selector (12) which are arranged in a position perpendicular to a floor of a cockpit. An upper surface (16) supports the finger of an operator e.g. pilot, when the operator inputs the information by using the units to stabilize the hand of the operator relative to the inputting device.
