<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specification description support device, capable of reducing the man-hour for rearrangement operation by eliminating ambiguity of specification description and preventing inclusion of an error or a leak. <P>SOLUTION: When any one of a pull-down menu 15 composed of a field-based template 151, a quality characteristic item selection 152, a syntax selection 153, a syntax check/calibration/alarm 154, a verification list 155, a mathematical expression 156 and a logical expression 157 is selected, selection and input processing operation by a selection and input processing part is performed. When the syntax check/calibration/alarm 154 is selected in the process of the selection and input processing operation, an alarm for noncompliant item can be output through checking and calibration of data stored in a specification file.
