<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic contract system capable of eliminating a false contract by making an accurate membership reference and credit information reference without causing an omission in Kana (Japanese syllabary) names to be referred to. <P>SOLUTION: Kana names that can be considered to give different reading of a Kanji (Chinese character) name input by a client from an automatic contract machine 1 using a database 14 for giving different reading of Kanji, and a membership or credit information reference is made based on the extracted Kana names. In determining that a person with the Kana name relevant by reference and the client are not the same person after determining the presence of their identity, credit determination of the client is carried out.
