PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome or reduce the shortcomings of a channel estimation method as a conventional technique, that is the complexity of calculation and so on. SOLUTION: The channel estimating method used for a wireless communication system is disclosed. The system includes a transmission-source device and a transmission-destination device, and the transmission-source device is operative to transmit information to the transmission-destination device. The method includes steps of allocating a transmission frequency bandwidth over a single period to a plurality of pilot transmission blocks over the same period which have frequency bandwidth profiles respectively; allocating a pilot signal for transmission to selected times and frequency positions of the pilot transmission blocks; and transmitting information and at least one pilot signal of the pilot transmission blocks from the transmission-source device to the transmission-destination device in the single period.
